25 jan WELCOMING OUR NEW INTERN – LINUS JARHEDE
Linus Jarhede is pursuing a political science degree with a specialisation in global Asian studies at Stockholm University. As a part of his education, he has the opportunity to intern at the Parliamentary Forum on Small Arms and Light Weapons (PFSALW) through the Swedish Development Forum’s (FUF) internship program.
-Ever since I went on a field study to Nicaragua in 2017 and heard personal accounts about the disarmament efforts made there in the 1990s, I have had a strong interest in development and peacebuilding issues. I look forward to learning about, and participating in, PFSALW’s efforts to further strengthen parliamentarians’ capacity to prevent the uncontrolled proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW). I am especially eager to hear about various stakeholders’ experiences, priorities, and best practices, says Linus Jarhede.
