The Parliamentary Forum on Small Arms and Light Weapons (the Forum) is pleased to host the virtual side-event titled “Parliamentary action to enhance the universalisation and implementation of the ATT, and for the eradication of the uncontrolled proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW)” on September 3 at the side lines of the upcoming Seventh Conference of States Parties (CSP7) to the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT).
The side-event will gather parliamentarians and other relevant stakeholders globally to highlight parliamentary actions for enhanced universalisation and implementation of the ATT and efforts to eradicate the uncontrolled proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW). It will include recommendations on actions and perspectives by parliamentarians with a global outlook, including the linkages to the Women, Peace and Security (WPS), and the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Agendas.
