According to recent findings from the Small Arms Survey, Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) -related violence claims the lives of 260,000 individuals annually worldwide and furthermore resulting in numerous injuries. Moreover, SALW-related violence significantly impacts socioeconomic development. The urgency of the situation underscores the imperative for effective measures, spearheaded by parliamentarians to prevent and reduce SALW-related violence on a global scale, to contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable developed world.
