14 sep WARMEST WELCOME TO OUR NEW PROGRAMME OFFICER – MR. THEODOR STENSÖ
Mr. Theodor Stensö holds a degree in Peace and Development studies and a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict studies at @Uppsala university. Mr. Stensö has experience from international development cooperation, including from local development work in India and with the European Youth Parliament. Through his position as a Programme Officer, Mr. Stensö will contribute to the wide range of the Parliamentary Forum on Small Arms and Light Weapons’ (the Forum’s) operations, including serving as the focal point to the Forum’s work in relation to the Middle East and North Africa region.
– I am very excited to join the team at the Forum. After five years of university studies on the causes and dynamics of armed violence, this is a great opportunity to actively contribute to sustainable development and peace. The work to promote parliamentary cooperation and action is vital and directly support these efforts is a true privilege. Illicit proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) is unfortunately a highly relevant issue still, and I am proud to contribute to tackling this significant problem alongside dedicated members of the Forum, colleagues and partners from all over the world, says Mr. Stensö.
