The year 2022 is coming to an end, and the Parliamentary Forum on Small Arms and Light Weapons (the Forum) would like to thank you for a year of commitment and joint efforts to prevent and reduce Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW)-related violence in a changing world affected by armed conflict, global decline in democracy and continued effects from the COVID-19 pandemic.
2022 has been a special year for the Forum as it marks the 20th Anniversary of the organisation. The anniversary has been a vital opportunity to draw attention to the continued importance of reducing the illicit flows of SALW for sustainable development and peace, and also to celebrate the significant achievements that the Forum and its Members have accomplished throughout two decades.
