Following the aim of the webinar, parliamentary recommendations and actions identified at the regional webinar with a focus on Africa and the previous regional webinar with a focus on Southeast Asia were presented in PFSALW’s side event at the side-lines of the Seventh Biennial Meeting of States (BMS 7) on the United Nations Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects (UN PoA), that took place between 26-30 July 2021.
