Thank you all for your vital commitment to raise awareness and taking action to prevent and reduce Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) related violence!
2019 is an important year for continued work to promote human security and sustainable development. We would like to share our latest newsletter with a brief summary of current news from the Forum:
- A seminar in the Swedish Parliament was held in April with the purpose of discussing the prevention of #SALW violence from a Swedish and international perspective.
- The Forum will soon, 3-7 June, launch a new round of the social media campaign #WordsOverBullets for increased awareness on the importance of reducing and preventing armed violence globally.
- The Forum will realise a seminar focused on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)-region with a global outlook in Amman, Jordan. The seminar will be held in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Amman, Jordan on 24-25 of September 2019.
