The Secretariat is the executive branch of the Forum responsible for all project implementation on behalf of the Board and Forum members.

Upon member requests, the Secretariat offers assistance in developing concept papers or studies, drafting speeches, revising weapons legislation, arranging meetings and seminars, or in initiating national or sub-regional activities.

Two permanent staff members are located in Stockholm. The Forum also works with a number of consultants and partner organizations.
